The average goals per game from Step 1 to 6 now stands at 3.32. Steps 1 and 2 have the lowest, perhaps due to the better defending on offer? Just 2.56 and 2.47. If you want to see goals, Step 6 is still where the action is with over a goal per game more, currently 3.7 goals per game.
Top 5 leagues for goals per game:
Step League GpG
6 Combined Counties Div One 5.05
6 Wessex Division One 4.84
6 Eastern Counties Div One North 4.11
6 Spartan South Midlands Div One 4.10
6 United Counties Division One 3.91
6 North West Counties Div One North 3.91
Interestingly, well for some it may be, the amount of draws is pretty well inversely proportionate to goals per game!
Overall, the draw % is 1 in 5 matches with Steps 1 & 2 averaging 36 and 37% but Steps 5 & 6 are at 18 and 16%
The Spartans South Midlands Div 1 has only 1 draw in 20 matches with the South West Peninsula East league just 2 in 32 matches. Compare this to 26 draws in 70 games at Step 2.
The question of home advantage was mentioned a couple of weeks back. The average across the Steps is now that the home teams takes 51.75% of the points, with Step 1 actually having the largest home bias points wise:
League Pld W D L F A Pts G/D H%
Step 1 36 16 13 7 53 39 61 14 56.48
Step 2 70 25 26 19 92 81 101 11 48.10
Step 3 110 46 29 35 180 159 167 21 50.61

Step 6 557 267 86 204 1119 936 887 183 53.08
Which means, the Away records look like this:

Step 1 36 7 13 16 39 53 34 -14 31.48
Step 2 70 19 26 25 81 92 83 -11 39.52
