Hello again! We've now reached the end of a busy October fixture schedule, so I thought now would be a good a time as any to give you an update on who the current Nonleague 'Hotshots' are.
It's always great when you hear a success story of a former nonleague prodigy hitting the heights of the top echelons of English football, with Jamie Vardy being the standout example in modern times, and I can't help wondering when compiling these scoring charts, is the next star hidden in here somewhere?
Before I highlight the current state of play on the goalscoring front, I will caveat that there are still a handful of goal scorers listed as 'Unknown', but when you consider that there's been 26,722 goals so far already this season at Steps 1-6 as well as the three main FA competitions, then I hope you'll let that slide this time. Although, as always, we welcome anyone that can point out or mistakes, please feel free to let us know.
So, who are the highest scorers in all competitions combined - there are many stand out performance so far this season, but I think we all can agree that Birtley Town forward, Aidan Rutledge, is having a truly unbelievable season in front of goal. Thirty-Six goals by the end of October is an amazing achievement, even more so when you realise only two of those were in the FA Vase, with the rest all being in the Northern League Division Two. Levi Collins (Boldon CA) currently fifth on the list, plays in the same division, and all twenty-one of his goals have been scored in league matches. Second in the table is London Samurai Rovers' Morrison Hashii, who currently sits on 31 goals, 28 in the league.
There are a couple of players that have spread their goals around different competitions - Ross Cook of Andover New Street has 24 in total (14 league, 3 FA Cup and 7 FA Vase) and Leon Lobjoit of Leighton Town sits joint 7th with 19 goals with 9 being scored in the cup competitions.
Here are the top 15 players at the end of October:

If you want to see individual league or cup top scorers, follow the appropriate paths in the menu, and each one should be covered in there.
I'll try and give another update at the end of November, in the meantime, let us know if this is the kind of thing you like to read, or not, and if there's anything else you'd like to know about in terms of nonleague statistics, and we'll see what we can do.
