Goals, Goals & More Goals!

The Non League season started on Friday 29th July with a handful of fixtures. Since that night, and the 21 days that have passed, there have been an amazing 5,597 goals scored within the top six levels of the non league pyramid and in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round. Considering we are only three weeks in to the season, that is quite some going!

Instead of looking in to which leagues are producing more goals, let's break it down and focus on the players, and there are some impressive starts to the season for some....

Note: these stats are based on League and FA Cup (this will also feature FA Trophy and FA Vase when they commence)

Birtley Town forward Aidan Rutledge is leading the way, and is the only player currently in double figures. So far, he has racked up 11 goals, all in the league, and this includes and hatrick, and a four-goal blitz against Chester-le-Street United. Four goals in a match is impressive enough, but the most scored in one game so far this season is currently owned by Ashby Ivanhoe's Sam Grouse. He amassed a remarkable double hatrick, as they defeated Smethwick Rangers on Tuesday night, Obviously, both feature at the top of the overall scoring charts. Here is the top 6 marksman:

Sam Grouse (Ashby Ivanhoe)

11 - Aidan Rutledge (Birtley Town)

9 - Morrison Hassii (London Samurai Rovers)

9 - Louis Samuels (Aylestone Park)

8 - Sam Grouse (Ashby Ivanhoe)

7 - Joshua Millo (Sandhurst Town)

7 - Mason Davis (Bristol Telephones)

(There are also 15 players on 6 goals)

The eagle-eyed amongst you, will also have noticed all the top scorers above are in step 6 - if you want goals, that's obviously where you need to be looking!

The top 250 list gets a daily update, and can be viewed here: All Scorers | Nlhq (nonleaguehq.wixsite.com)
